American Fusion music...
I am sure you have heard of American Fusion cuisine...now there is American Fusion music!! Hazmat Modine, a musical group featured recently on NPR’s All Things Considered, features a fusion of sound not so usual for American music. With blues, reggae, klezmer, and even jugband music merged into melody, played on the harmonica, tuba, as well as more conventional instruments, and with some Tuvan throat singing thrown in – what’s not to love? This unusual group from New York has released their American debut CD Bahamut, now owned by HCPL. Try it out.
