One Maryland One Book - Harriet Tubman: Meet the Woman

As part of the One Maryland One Book celebration this month, performer-presenter Gwendolyn Briley-Strand will talk about Harriet Ross Tubman at Havre de Grace Branch on Thursday, October 8 at 6:30 pm. Known as the “Moses of Her People”, Harriet Tubman led hundreds of enslaved people to freedom by way of the Underground Railroad. Learn more about this Maryland native from Briley-Strand, who will discuss the life of this remarkable woman.
