Play Literary Baseball

This unique event is being sponsored by the Bel Air Branch. It's a game between the "Scripts" (living authors) and the "R.I.P.s" (dead authors). All you have to do is read their books. Which ones do you prefer? Pick up a rating form at the information desk and with what you read and rate, you'll give that "batter" a batting average. Watch and see who wins! Names "picked at random" every two weeks from folks submitting their ratings.

Summer Reading Volunteers

Summer Reading Program 2007
Did you know that Summer Reading Program planning starts very early at the library? We have a team of librarians who spend several months preparing activities and programs and schedules for a full range of participants, from preschool through high school. Now, we are entering the next step, looking for community volunteers to assist with the registration and follow-up activities. If you know a student who could use some "fun-filled" volunteer hours, drop into any branch to pick up an application.
