Celebrate Children's Book Week
The Library is pleased to have the fabulous musical duo, Simple Gifts, performing at all of our branches through the week.Two women plus ten instruments equals one good time when Simple Gifts takes the stage! The entire family is invited to attend this award-winning band concert. Enjoy a wide variety of ethnic folk music, including everything from lively Irish jigs and down-home American reels to hard-driving Klezmer freilachs, haunting Gypsy melodies, and exotic Balkan dance tunes.CDs will be available for purchase. This program is partially supported by a grant from the Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour and the Maryland State Arts Council and the Harford County Government through the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.

I am not sure how a musical presentation celebrates Children's Book Week.
Thanks for your comment. A number of special events are planned during Children's Book Week that would appeal to children in particular and families in general in hopes of drawing more of them into the library ... and hopefully, checking out materials.
