Hello, I was wondering about the Anime thingy if it was were you teach us better techniques or do you just go there to talk about the magazine? I was wondering also if it was my age group and if it would be proper for me to come, me being a 14 year old? But mainly to know what you do at the meetings or if you draw and Manga?
TY,
David

David,

Anime Club belongs to the kids. We try to tailor the activities to what the kids want. Usually, we watch episodes of anime that are sent to us from ADV. It is a great place to talk with other kids with a similar interest. I am at the Edgewood branch and I have ended up with kids who like to watch InuYasha, Naruto, FullMetal Alchemist, Bleach, and many others. In the past, we have tried to promote other avenues of Japanese culture. We have made onigiri, learned different forms of origami, watched traditional Japanese sword fighting, had tea ceremonies and cosplay. While the group is open for grades 6-12, I usually see kids in high school. Sounds like it may be right up your alley. Currently, we have anime clubs in Jarrettsville, Whiteford, Aberdeen, Joppa, and Edgewood. Bel Air will be starting one in the fall. Please feel free to call any of these branches for more details. Hope to see you soon!
