	Rats: Observations on the History and Habitat of the City's Most Unwanted Inhabitants by Robert Sullivan There are plenty of facts in the book to make your skin crawl, such as a description of the greasy skids rats leave on the paths they frequent, and a list of garbage items they prefer to eat. Many people have never seen a rat outside a pet store; Sullivan reminds us that they are our constant neighbors.
	Candyfreak: A Journey through the Chocolate Underbelly of America by Steve Almond What is your favorite candy? Steve Almond is obsessed with candy and allows himself a daily ration to keep his consumption within bounds. His obsession sends him on a cross-country quest to rediscover the candy bars of his youth.
	My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult Anna was genetically engineered to be a perfect match for her cancer-ridden older sister, Kate. Since birth, the 13-year-old has donated platelets, blood, and bone marrow as part of her family's struggle to lengthen Kate's life. Anna is now being considered as a kidney donor in a last-ditch attempt to save her 16-year-old sister.
	Thinner Than Thou by Kit Reed Tomorrow, today's cult of the body, which says we must he thin, young, and perfect, has become the only religion. Reverend Earl preaches the heaven of the Afterfat and promises to personally supervise the fat congregants at his luxurious spa, Sylphania.

Title of the book: Full Tilt Author: Neal Shusterman Rating of this book: 5 Review: While at Six Flags with his friends Maggie, Russ, and his brother Quinn, 16 year Blake receives an invitation to an extraordinary theme park. Quinn takes the invitation and soon is lying on the ground without his soul. Now Blake must go into the demon park where he must face 7 inhuman demonic rides to retrieve Quinn's soul before dawn, or both their souls will belong to the park... FOREVER. And Blake must face his dark past before it tears him apart. Neal Shusterman has written another exciting novel full of horror, suspense and emotion. 	Persepoli: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi Brief, poetic, and absolutely riveting, this gem of a novel tells the story of a young father struggling to raise an infant. Bobby, 16, is a sensitive and intelligent narrator. His parents are supportive but refuse to take over the child-care duties, so he struggles to balance parenting, school, and friends who don't comprehend his new role. --School Library Journal
