Libraries
in Harford County have a rich history of volunteer
support that dates back before the 1946 tax-supported
Public Library Law. Even though the way libraries
provide service has changed dramatically over the
years, the need for volunteer support has not. Library
volunteers are involved in almost every aspect of
library service. Volunteers who donate their time
and talents provide the support necessary to maintain
and extend quality library service.
Computer Volunteers Wanted
The
library is looking for volunteers to assist
customers using computers in the branches. Volunteers
should have a good understanding of MS Word,
be comfortable with using the Internet, enjoy
working with others, and be willing to work a
minimum of 1.5 hours per week. For more information
call Michèle
Louderback, Volunteer Specialist, at (410) 273-5601,
ext. 247.
