Harford County Public Library online resources & services have been carefully selected to help you find what you need, conveniently in one place and hopefully, arranged in a manner that is useful to you. Here's what you can find on our web site.

Inter-Library Loan (Marina)
Use Marina to search & request books and other materials not owned by Harford County Public Library from other Maryland libraries. You will be notified by email or telephone to pick up your material at the Harford County Public Library branch you select. You can also return the materials to any HCPL branch. GO

Audio books from Overdrive
Overdrive Audio Books

If you like to listen to audio books but have "moved up" to an MP3 player or just like to listen to your computer, then this is the service for you. These books are downloadable to your home computer and then, can be trasferred to a number of portable devices. Each month, titles are added, so keep checking back.

HCPL is now offering downloadable audio books. As part of Maryland's Digital Library Consortium, a collection of downloadable eBooks. as well as eAudiobooks and movies are now available to our customers for home use. These eBooks are not downloadable to a library computer. Overdrive (which is the company also providing eBooks) has expanded their offerings to include many audio titles. Search both websites to find the title that is right for you.

Download movies from the web. MyLibraryDV is a video-on-demand service featuring everything from Hollywood favorites and classic movies to British TV series to cooking shows to popular do-it-yourself documentary-type programs. Click on the link to download the software. This service is for home use only. List of downloadable videos. GO

Online Resources Resources include both subscription databases that the library has purchased for library card holders and walk-in customers as well as web sites selected by our librarians. Use our convenient search engine to search by topics we have created. GO

Renew Materials It's simple to renew your materials. Just sign on to My Account with your library card number and PIN (default is last 4 digits of your phone number), click on "items out," then check the items you want to renew and click on the Renew button. Note, only one renewal per item. More information about library card policies. GO
