This vehicle brings library resources and technology to children in after school programs, targeting at-risk children in grades K through 8th grade.

Silver ReaderSilver Reader travels to assisted living facilities, long term care facilities, senior centers and senior apartment locations throughout Harford County.

Classes offered in use of library catalog, databases and the Internet. Class times are listed on our newsletters and can be searched in our online Calendar of Events.

We also have a Computer Lab in the Aberdeen and Abingdon Branches open to the public.
Learning and Sharing Collection
Developmental learning center (in the Bel Air Branch) with LSC materials for young children to enhance reading readiness skills; includes Cheers for Children, concept kits, and Young Parenting Kits.
TDD (Hearing Impaired) Telephone Service
Deaf and hearing impaired customers can use 410-838-3371 for information assistance or use Maryland Relay by dialing 7-1-1 (either voice or TTY).
 

Partners in Reading

is a volunteer program with a mession to encourage a child's enthusaism for reading. Trained, caring volunteers visit elementary schools to work one-on-one, or in small groups to enhance students' reading skills. Volunteer today and become a Partner in Reading.

Language Link
This service provides interpretation services for information transactions in any language on-site and over the telephone. Available at all branches at the Information Desk.
